Aventura 2 will not power up

I cannot power up my Aventura 2, having last used it 2 days ago.  I think I may have left it switched on so that the battery has discharged fully. Three questions:

a) How long does a recharge take?

b) Should I be able to power up whilst charging?

c) Is there another possible cause?

    Hi Phil. This just happened to mine. Did you ever get to the bottom of the problem?

    Never got an answer! Did the analog of the IT solution (turn it off then on again) by taking the battery out and reinserting. I can only assume that for some ungodly reason the battery had become ever so slightly dislodged. Anyway, it charged immediately, could be turned on during charging and hasn’t misbehaved since. Hopefully the same solution will work for you - good luck.

    Unfortunately not. It has been dormant for a few months and I attempted to turn it on today and nothing. It will not take a charge. I removed and reinserted the battery a couple of times also but no luck. I fear it may be knackered!

    Did you tried to change the battery by a new one ... ?
    If the battery is dead, it's not an Aventura problem.

    Hi Bernard. That’s going to be my next step. Just hesitant as it’s £40 for a new one but if it’s the device that’s gone then could be £40 wasted.

    Certainly, but when a battery has been allowed to discharge for many months, the probability that the failure comes from the battery and not from the device is the greatest, right? It's for you to see...

    Result-glad to hear you’re sorted, and at least that’s a whole lot cheaper than a new handset!
