Land Support for Apple Silicon

    Hi,

    You should know that Land, even in x86 version, needs to be rewritten to use the Metal library instead of OpenGL. This is the main reason for performance and functionality degradation of Land on mac.
    And we are still waiting, we Mac users, for this adaptation to be made. This should have been done 5 years ago, when Apple announced the end of support for OpenGL !
    But we see that neither Metal nor ARM processor support seems to be coming.
    I am personally very very worried about the future of Land on Mac.
    And I'm afraid that Land will soon become totally unusable on Mac with the evolution of macOS and ARM processors.

    Hello Bernard
    You are right. The missing support for modern GFX API's is the main reason. And this was the point for me to revisit the Land prefs. There is still the opportunity to activate OpenGL in View/General. The map ist working much faster instantly. OpenGL ist still there in Ventura. 

    But it's necessary to reactivate it after every Land restart :-(.

    Hi,

    For me (Monterey), if I reactivate OpenGL in view/general, Land crashes immediately !

    So, unusable.
