The following improvements have been made to the French IGN Géoportail online map:
- New map called CarteIGN, which contains most of the Topo information, but with a nicer, refined aesthetic.
In addition to aesthetics, this map also adds a more detailed layer for urban environments, compared to the classic topo map.
- New gradients layer that very accurately shows the location of steep slopes using a colour code:
This layer can be superimposed on other maps to yield a combined view of the gradient information and the map that is in the background.
In addition, like all layers, from its properties window you can adjust the level of transparency to see the information on the layer and the background at the same time.
- The cadastre (parcel) layer, which already existed, can now also be superimposed on other maps without having to apply transparency.
These news features can be found, along with the rest of IGN Géoportail files, in the France folder of the Online Maps, both in Land (data tree) and in the TwoNav app (map list). In order to use them, you need to have a TwoNav IGN Géoportail licence.
