Aventura 2 battery adapter

I have just bought a battery adapter so I can use normal batteries for long trips. When I install it the Aventura keeps turning on and off repeatedly. I put the rechargeable battery back in and tried to adjust the battery settings as described in the leaflet provided nut the battery settings only has one choice. Can you help ? Is there a video on how to do this ?

  Which Aventura is yours? From what I've read it is only compatible with Aventura later than 2018 (puh, the naming is confusing).

  There should be a menu in settings called Battery just before the sensor & wifi settings. In its submenu you can set the Batterytype etc..

  PS: You forgot to give details about the Twonav version your device is running. That is suboptimal!

  This assumes that the charge level of the batteries placed in the adapter collapses when the GPS requires energy.

  So either:

  - The installed batteries do not provide enough current (Load, unsuitable capacity, ..)
  - Either the line resistance of the adapter is too high. Therefore a drop in potential when the current is debited.

  Check battery compliance
  Test the electrical resistance of the adapter or connections, it may be a badly crimped wire. With a multimeter check the resistance then the voltage when the GPS is ON it should make the yoyo.

  Thanks guys. In the battery submenu there are no options to choose. It just says battery. Do I need to do anything to rectify that. It's up to date on software install , latest version and it's Aventura 2

  Under Battery there should be an entry: Type

  If selected you can choose between: Alkaline, Lithium, NiMH

   

  If you can't find this entry: Congratulations you have found a bug!

  Contact support for them to fix this, since this is a user forum and Compe does not react to its content.
