Land - play several tracks does not work
Dear All,
I also have problem with the new Land.
Trying to follow instruction and play several tracks at once does not work for me (no PLAY button in contextual menu).
Do you know why playing one track is possible, whereas several tracks does not work?
Regards,
Marek, Poland

Thanks Mr. Thierry!
The point is, there is no "Play" neither in contextual menu, nor in navigation bar.
I am going to check some old, previous versions and leave a note about this trial.Best regards
P.S. So far, I am using Garmin Connect web site to play several tracks - up to 4 is allowed.

Follow...
I just built three different tracks on a map with a tool, these tracks each have a different speed (you need speed) and a different start time.
The simulation runs on these three tracks simultaneously, with different speed and the start is shifted according to the timing.
Since the tracks are created on a map they are superimposed but two are in the opposite direction and one takes a different branch
So it works

I designed three tracks (gpx) I assigned to each a different speed (which takes into account the relief) and a different starting time shifted by a few minutes (The tool allows this). These traces were designed outside of Land, because it's faster with BRouter. Imported into Land in GPX, then displayed on the screen and I click on PLAY of a track.
I don't usually use this function, I just noticed that when I have several traces which are open if I PLAY one of these traces the others are played, be careful if another trace is significantly shifted in time it will not be only played with this time difference so if there are several days it will seem immobile, you will have to wait until the time difference has elapsed to witness the start

Dears,
Is it really possible in TwoNav Land to simulate exactly the same tracks??? Is it not possible to simulate previous activities to see your pace differences?
To clarity it I use the Garmin Connect website as example of my "play simulation of several activities" expectation. Herebelow you can see simulation of 4 subsequent activities recorded in different days:
I hardly can find this possibility to compare my previous acrtivities in Land, though it is promised in p. 4.3.3.8 of manual.
I cannot find the PLAY button even though I open the tracks I want to simulate:
-
Hello,
Is it not possible to simulate previous activities to see your pace differences?
No because they are too time shifted, we must be able to bring them back into the same temporal space while maintaining the speed. (Gap between points).
If one is delayed by 24 hours it will leave 24 hours later...

Hello,
I'm not here to say if it's good or not, just to indicate how it works.
You must select a trace (a recording) or a route (a project), these files must have a time (date, time). As soon as a trace is open and visible on the screen, right-clicking on the trace opens the context menu which allows you to launch the PLAY.
If several traces are opened simultaneously, PLAY is executed on all open traces.
As Land uses the date and time of each trace file if these traces have a similar time code (off by a few minutes for example) you will see the animation of all these traces. If the time code is shifted by several hours or days, the mobile waits until this time shift has elapsed to come to life. What gives the illusion that it does not work is that one or more mobiles are waiting for the departure time (It is in the STARTING BLOCK).
So for traces shifted by several hours, days or years it will be necessary to shift the time code, but if you shift the time code the probability of overwriting or replacing the original time code is high, the interest in simulation disappears . Land allows you to replace the time and the speed, but it will be a constant speed over the entire trace, it is useful for a project, but erases the time code of an activity, you need a more sophisticated tool than Land.
Best Regards

I know, I know it.
But, be so kind, and show the screen of these tracks which work, please.
I am curious how to launch these several tracks at once (it is any special way to launch the PLAY???) that you built, as you wrote: "I designed three tracks (gpx) I assigned to each a different speed (which takes into account the relief) and a different starting time shifted by a few minutes (The tool allows this). These traces were designed outside of Land, because it's faster with BRouter. Imported into Land in GPX, then displayed on the screen and I click on PLAY of a track."

Follow,
Yes, of course, but as said above all traces must have a Time Code and in the case of Arimont these are three projects (Routes) of which two do not have a Time Code. The trace actually recorded covers these three projects so we will only see one mobile come to life
I am therefore attaching another case to you on three recordings, there is a mobile waiting because the recording is later than another, the mobile is waiting for the departure time to start moving.

OK, I've got it!
1. PLAY shall start with the track which is "the oldest one".
2. When 1. is valid, then PLAY simulation of the subsequent tracks is possible.
Otherwise, only most recent tracks are PLAYED in simulation mode.
Thanks Mr. Thierry for your patience!
P.S. It is a bit strange that Land cannot offer "automatic time shit" for the tracks comparison as e.g. Garmin Connect does.

I have already posted to you above a case with three mobiles moving simultaneously.
Here it is the case of three consecutive recordings, a outward journey, the run itself and a subsequent return journey during the "RUN" simulation:
The Mobile of the outward journey, wait since the route has already been played,
The RUN Mobile is animated
Return mobile wait for departure timeIt works with the time code actually recorded.

OK, I agree - thanks!
I have similar observation.
1. when to PLAY simulation with a RED track starting at 8:00, the late, violet track is waiting to move (edited):
2. when to PLAY with a VIOLET track starting at 8:08, the RED track is already in move (out of the screenshot) [edited].

Follow,
As I told you earlier I don't use this function, I'm not from TwoNav, I'm just a user like you, just a little more curious than most in order to understand how this tool works.
Given that TwoNav communicates a lot (a little too much even) on Land's capabilities to allow a detailed analysis of our activities, which is exaggerated (See false), I suggest you contact after-sales service to share your comments with them (this which will have no effect) or to send a letter directly to the director (which will have more effect). He will be sensitive to your remark, I have already used this channel with a certain level of effectiveness.
Land has become an obsolete tool
As for the rest of this matter, I will leave it there.
Best regard and good hikes to you.
