After using twonav for many years I have now found out that I can't do the basic tasks that I used to be able to do without paying $45 per year. Not even being able to upload my own maps for the mobile version and being forced to the premium plan. Therefore I won't be using twonav any more.

  Ian Urban: I do share your concerns. Many of the so called improvements are just window dressings and not everybody needs all those fancy online stuff. If I remember it right, Compe announced that version 5 Android licenced users can use v6 with all the features v5 had but don't have access to the "new" improvements, namely:

  1) no mpf,ecw, mbtiles ... map support

  2) no weather forecast

  3) no fasttrack in the app (that is the only thing I would miss)

  I really don't share the enthusiasm about all those IMPROVEMENTS. We are still missing standard feature like:

  - OSM adress search

  - better access to the GUI, namely those cxml files which lets us adapt the app and the ini files under Android

  - regular map updates

  - bugs repair that do exists since version 4 

  - finetuning of the routing features
