Best device for bicycle (mtb/gravel), cayaking an tile hunting?

Hello,
There's no direct link between Squadrat and TwoNav, but perhaps that will change someday...
Interesting... If I understand correctly, Squadrat is a Strava extension that imports training plans from other Strava users into a 1 x 1 mile (or smaller) area to create a map with these routes (elsewhere, they're called "hot routes"). Then, from what I understand, compatible apps or GPS devices can use these maps (without altering the original map's appearance) to suggest routes that replace these Strava segments.
Am I right?
Your request would be to be able to view a Squadrat map (in *.Kml format) on a TwoNav GPS screen.
- TwoNav is compatible with the *.kml map format (section 4.2 of the user manual).
- Furthermore, if you have a map tile in *.kml format, you can convert it to *.mbtile format and it will work.
You should try it; if you have one of these maps, I'd be happy to give it a go!
Regarding GPS battery life:
- CROS has 19 hours of battery life, but a small screen.
- TERRA has a 12% charge loss per hour, so a maximum of 8 hours in the field. TERRA screen is better for your eyes (Same size that aventura but better for cycle)
For charging, you need a recent smartphone-type charger capable of delivering the correct current (12 to 20W).
The temperature/battery relationship is the same for all batteries.
This is a screenshot (72 dpi, the screen resolution is 300 dpi, so it's even more readable) taken yesterday during an activity. The route was created with BROUTER; the icons are part of the TwoNav library. Simply place a copy of this library in the dedicated space for Brouter (Qmap). The route is stored in the /data folder and then sent to the GPS.

Another way to hunt, a map of your own design. Green dotted lines represent existing paths, blue dotted lines the hunted route, a thin green line indicates grazing, and icons represent instructions.

Good hikes

The problem is the minus 20°. You can't rely on any Li related battery in this kind of temperature environment. The device may work but it isn't sure. I guess you have already experienced this with phones. But I'm not aware if there is anyone out there producing gps devices with (maybe optional) AA battery powering.

Hi, thanks for speedy comments. Squadrats has 64 partion small tiles in the big ones. The Squadrats service gets the gps data from Strava. It allows a .kml missing tile export. This I can use in planning to make a route to visit the small tiles, but in Hammerhead Karoo can not import the missing tiles as a layer to the map. This is possible however in Garmin devices. Thus asking how about TwoNav. There is a third party TileHunting extension for Karoo, but only for the big tiles, not the small ones. Karoo I have tested in -19 and it worked fine. With phones yes the battery will not charge if too cold.

Please see the Squadrats online to get the idea. Its not about the map, its about the tiles.... 😁 It is a hobby to collect the tiles. https://squadrats.com/

Squadrats:
Thanks for the clarification, didn't know this game. Without a Squadrats kml file to test this is it difficult to say, if those Squadrats are truly supported and how many will be possible to load (as kml file or after converting it to another type of map file) before the device gets sluggish. I'm willing to test this for you, if you would upload a bunch of those into some cloud space.
Battery:
It may be that a Twonav device, like the Karoo device, does work properly in those subzero conditions but the reliability is an aspect, that should be considered. Actual Compe devices all have inbuild batteries and so are vulnerable regarding the reliability in this aspect.
