Croatia-Map for TwoNav-App
Hi there,
right now I am planning a race-bike-trip to croatia and I try to install a croatia-map on my smartfone.
Problem: I can´t find a croatia-map in the map shop. I can´t believe that there is no croatia-map. Can anybody help?
Best regards,
Martin

Hi Martin,
We don't have a dedicated topographic map of Croatia.
We have Open Street Map, which is OK as a reference, and sometimes even better than other topo maps.
You can get the Croatia zone included with the Europe product.

Hi,
yes, i found the map as an online-map. But I would need it as an offline-map.
What I did (I use an Android CAT S41):
1. I searched for a croatia-map in the map-store of my two-nav-app, search-items: croatia = no hit / zadar = no hit
2. I uploaded a racebike-track (.gpx) of Zadar (Croatia) and displayed it on the map-view - Result: YES! There is a good map of this area (online)
3. I chose the function (german Version) "Diese Ansicht kaufen" - in English this can be something like "Buy this map-view"
3. ....and then I just got the wrong Matches: One Card Topo-Austria-Mountainsport and one if the Pyrenees.
I really like the functionality of your app, but can you please help hot to download/buy a croatia-map?

Hi Martin,
Yes, you can buy the maps from twonav.com and then install in the phone. Actually this will allow you to use the maps also in Land software, or other devices.
So you can buy the map from next link (local map, downloadable) and then install in the phone: https://www.twonav.com/es/mapas/osm-europa-full

Hi,
You have this forum: https://www.naviboard.de/ (compegps section)
Or extract maps from : https://extract.bbbike.org/?sw_lng=9.868;sw_lat=47.265;ne_lng=11.018;ne_lat=47.75;format=osm.pbf;city=Allgaeu_Kleinwalsertal;lang=de
The forum Twonav has worries. There was a post to handle BBIke. Soo, I did it from my memory.
Select a aera, take OSM XML gzip'p format. Then, you unpack the file (Gzip), you get a file.osm map. Loaded in LAND you can save it as RMAP format. (do not take big maps).
Land also can "capture" maps from online maps (without copyrights, of course). With the select tool, draw an aera, then save as RMAP. The big interrogation is "how big can be my map ?" You can begin by an aera 13x13 kms.
RMAPs are only pictures. They are not vectorials maps.
