Why not displaying a cursor the moment you start to use the joystick on the map? This cursor should be moved very precisely within an inner rectangle . If it touches/leaves that rectangle the map is panned. You could leave the curosr mode with the back key. A joystick press summons functions.

Btw, right now the map panning is very rough and hard to control via joystick.

Very good idea. I also wanted to suggest this.

In old Aventura, this mode was called "cursor mode" a far as i remember.

    Hello,

I also wish the "old Joystick Cursor" from the previous Aventura back!

Without crosshairs and associated exact Controlpoint, I find this Joystick useless!

    Hi,

With an old Aventura, I havn't found "cursor mode" in the manual (TN 3.1) or configuration but to have the crosshair I must push down the joystick (a swicth is actived). The crosshair is not seen by défault. After actived, I hav'nt found how to close the crosshair (except closing the unit..).

New Aventura (I do not have), do you feel a switch pressing the joystick ? (this switch has the same function like pressing the screen). Did you tried to press the joystick ?

    Best regards

For memory, (old Aventura) the switch of the joystick has two mode: short press or long press.

    Hello,

I confirm that in the new Aventura there is no option to show the crosshair cursor to select items on map.

We will study to introduce this function again, maybe by making a long press to open the "Pin mode".

It is not expected to work on this at short term, but we take note for future developments.

Thanks a lot for the feedback!

Good idea, I don't understand why you wasted the opportunity to use this multibutton device with gloves for the sake of simplifying it for users who will prefer to use their smartphone.
