    Hello Alberto,

Your request is on the user forum!

Can you take a few time to read the Trail 2 Manual pleased,  the answer is describe to the Chapter 5.17  Activity recorrding.

gpx format file is a standard format, own manufacturer format file store alway more information, the best way is to work with the manufacturer own format file and to translate to GPX for internet or transfert  purpose.

    Best regards

thank you Thierry for your reply. Actually I read the manual in the paragraph you indicated. However, my question was about the format of waypoints and not tracks. I know that waypoints are saved in twonav .wpt so I was wondering if it was possible to modify their extension in. gpx from the menu and if yes where?

Hello and thank you very much.

    Hi,

The answer is YES you can do it, open or store a Waypoint.gpx file format and open and record a Watpoint.gpx single Waypoint.

The two Waypoint stored in the EssaQai.gpx file

    Have a nice trip

    Thierry good morning.
I have long looked for where to set the format of the waypoints saved by twonav trail2 or android as * .gpx but without being able to find it. Files save them only in * .wpt!
I would like to save them in gpx to share and receive them without having to convert them via Land from other devices in real time on the field.

    Thanks for your patience.
    A greeting.

    Hello,

Make a file of Waypoint with LAND, save this file in a "file. gpx" format.

Send this "Waypoint_file.gpx"  to your TRAIL 2 by the USB or the Cloud/WiFi link.

Open this "Waypoint_file.gpx" in your Trail 2.

Then Your TRAIL 2 provide the menu'sissues to save new waypoints or file of WayPoint in the *.gpx format.

  • Hi,

You must know that there some incompatibilities between the GPX made by Land and those from elsewhere. Although this format should be universal but.....

There are posts on this problem (french). The difference is sometimes tiny. Just a litle sign: a bracket, an apostrophe ou a parenthesis in a sentence and the GPX fail.

    Best regards

    Ciao Alberto,

you're right. Within Twonav(Trail2) there is no option to configure that waypoints directly saved to a GPX-File.

However, You can do it as you can do it with LAND software. In Twonav, in waypoints list open the waypointfile. Press "3dots" contextual menu. Than "file" and now "save as. Here you can choose gpx-file and your WPt-file is saved as GPX.

    kind regards

    Gert

    Hello,

What you can also do is create a wpt waypoints file (new waypoints file from the waypoints page) and then click on this new file to rename it to GPX and from there if the GPX file is the active one, you can create waypoints in this format. In any case, this procedure is quite complicated. We will talk to the product managers to find a more agile solution.

    Bonjour,

    Cordialement"
