    Thank you - that works for Land software but how do I change waypoint settings on the GPS (Aventura 2)?  My old Aventura had menu for waypoint settings, new one doesn't seem to.

    Regards

  • Before, users complained that TwoNav's GPS were too complicated in their settings. TwoNav has simplified the software and users complain that they no longer have settings.........

    I don't have these new GPS devices. I don't know how to answer your question.

    Maybe the Naviboard forum has some tips for modifying .ini files.

    https://www.naviboard.de/board/137-compegps-twonav/

    In the manual of Aventura 2 (chapter 4.3.1), did you read ?:

    Modifiy for all waypoints: If any of these properties is modified, it will be applied for all waypoints at the same time.

    1. Access'Main menu > Waypoints > Select a waypoints file > Modify all waypoints'.
    1. Choose which properties you want to modify. These will apply to all waypoints contained in that waypoints file.

    Sorry I can't do more.

    Regards

    No worries, Thanks again (including putting up with having to reply in English) .  To me seems like a basic function that should be available - the default red, small font with no background is very hard to see...I am surprised there isn't a way to change it. Have looked in *.ini files but can't find setting.

    PS - yes can change existing waypoint files ...but would like new waypoints to be what I like.

  • gps.ini files have "hidden" settings because there are gps.default. When you open an .ini with a text editor, you don't see all the possible settings. Sometimes it is necessary to add the lines "by hand". But you have to know these lines. Try asking the question on the Naviboard forum.

    Hi Greg,

    if you edit gps.ini file by adding the following lines

    [Balizas]
    Color_Fondo=0x000000
    Color=0xFF00FF
    Texto_Transp=0

    you should get a black label background with magenta font color.

    if [Balizas] already exist, you only have to add the 3 lines

    Color_Fondo=0x000000
    Color=0xFF00FF
    Texto_Transp=0

    kind regards

    Gert

    P.S this works for me on CROSS, so i assume that it will work on Trail2 or AVentura2 also

    Yippee it works!!!! - thank you very much for providing this information

    I already had [Balizas] heading in the gps.ini file so added this to get white font on black background

    Color_Fondo=0x000000
    Color=0xFFFFFF
    Texto_Transp=0

    Thanks again.
