Aventura 2 will not power up

I cannot power up my Aventura 2, having last used it 2 days ago.  I think I may have left it switched on so that the battery has discharged fully. Three questions:

a) How long does a recharge take?

b) Should I be able to power up whilst charging?

c) Is there another possible cause?
