Land: bug collection thread
Land 9.2.3.
1)_Instabilities: Drawing error. Postponed (Seems less frequent from 9.2.3)
2)_Impossible to create a map in mvpf format from an OSM import: TTPL error executed. (Solution use an earlier version) Postponed
3)_Synchronization of activities between the Go CLOUD page and Land. Lack of update of the Land activities file. (Solution use Land 8.9.7) Postponed
4)_ Construction of a Road book with Fast Track. Random positioning of icons at changes of direction, sometimes there are sometimes there are none!
5)_ Creation of variant, Land can refuse to connect the end of the variant to the main route. In this case the GPS closes the route at the end of the variation.
6)_Difficult to use FastTrack off-road, updates too far apart from the map.
7)_When you have a track with variant, the information located under the name of the general track is not correct:
- The total distance is ok (varies depending on the active variant in Land) but on the other hand,
- The total elevation is wrong (it seems to me that it is the sum of the elevations of all the laps, including the one that corresponds to the non-active variant)
8) Conversion from wpt to BWPT:
8.1) Zoom level is changed to allway visible.
8.2) Name, description and show radius is allways set on
9)- The image sometimes freezes (Zoom Blocked, map moving frozen):
- This happens when the altitude diagram is displayed, following the passage of Land in the background.
- If the distance altitude diagram is displayed, close this window the image freeze fades (Postponed)
10)_Display of the slope of a track.
The elaboration of the slope of a trace by Land 64 bits is sometimes excessive (> 50%). Defect carried over from the first 64-bit versions and still valid. Solution view the slope diagram with a 32-bit version (example Land 8.9.2) or another Tool.
11) In 3D visualization, the needle has disappeared from the compass.
12) When building a road book with Fast Track in Land:
Land adds in the file a line to call an audio file
Land draws a 48 m capture circle around the road book point.
- - In the GPS, the audio file is not played,
- - In the GPS, the alarm corresponding to this capture distance is not activated
(This circle appears on Land's screen if the file has a call line for an audio file)
If fast Track forgets RoadBook points, (and it forgets some!) when the user manually adds a roadbook point, these artifices are not integrated,
No consistency, nothing is finished.
13) "Address violation" error
Following the deletion of track points in the "list of track points" window (Example cleaning a track ..), as long as this window is open, during the next selection Land declares an error (ABSTRACT /Violation d 'address). It is irreversible, Land must be closed (Postponed)

Yes, we can create map in mpvf
When "saving map as..." you do not have mpvf in the dropdown list but you can manually write mpvf and it will work.
I have converted (right now) albania-latest.osm to mpv and then to mpvf
I get an "execution error" but the mpvf is created and working (apparently)
Why they hide mpvf from the dropdown list? I don't know...

You are right, the sample file "roadbook_demo.btrk" with variant, will always show the same elevation (787m) regardless what variant you choose. Distances change when changing variant but elevation remains the same.
I find the variant feature very cool and it is the only reason why i would still use Land 9 but considering the number of bugs i have to suffer i think i better live without variants and use v8 instead.
