Trail 2 not switching on
My trail2 bought about a year ago does not now switch on, used half a dozen times and was working perfectly the last time it was used. I've recharged it but nothing was going on, I've tried the reset but no good, probably dead but thought i'd ask

Since you don't use it often, it could have been stored without having been turned OFF, or while on standby, or....? So it is possible, it is only a possibility, that the battery is completely discharged, washed. Before attempting a return for repair, how can you try to regenerate it? You need a charger capable of delivering 5 Volts at 3 Amperes, and you connect a new USB cable to this source and you wait... It can take several hours, the total charge when the battery is in perfect condition is 3 hours , once washed it is more than 24 hours.. If that does not save your GPS use the send a request link at the top of this page to contact after-sales service. If it saves him, come and say hello.

Ive been using the device recently about 3 or 4 times a month. I fully recharge it after each time I use it. I hardly use it during the winter. It’s been fine for the 3 years I’ve had it until now.
Not only will it not turn on but it will not connect to my PC.
I need to get this fixed quickly as I’m going on a mountain bike holiday in two weeks and I’m leading 8 bikers on 5 days of off road mountain biking. Thanks mapped out all the routes online.

Thanks Roy. Unfortunately my TwoNav only had a 2 year warranty. But it’s good to know it can be fixed. Buying a new GPS and having to buy all the maps again will cost over £500.
I have filled out the support request form. So hopefully that will kick off the repair process. But it needs to be done in two weeks for my big bike trip I am leading. However my friend has a Garmin so I can use that. -

If you need to replace your GPS with a TwoNav, the maps you purchased will be usable in the new GPS. Just reload them via WiFi directly from the GPS menu.
There would only be the cost of the new GPS, for example the TERRA which has a screen of the same size as the Trail 2 is €399. (By requesting TwoNav you will have it cheaper)
If you buy a GPS from another brand, in this case your maps will not be reusable.
At TwoNav the maps purchased can be used on 5 different devices (PC, app, and therefore 3 separate GPS)
It will probably be repaired, if you want to reduce the downtime take the shipping at your expense by dropping it off at a collection point you will save several days.
