Saving rmap as jpg in Land

Hello all,

I'm using Land 9.0.1 TRIAL PRO.

When trying to save a map as image file with File: Save map as

I get the mesage:

ModuleNeeded:MapTools

Anybody knows if this function is not available with my suscription or should  I need to download this module from somewhere?

  Hello,
  Send a request to the after-sales service, Land 9.0.x is full of bugs, they may have identified it.

  Sounds like you are using the Basic version. If Trial Pro is really activated, this message is not supposed to come up. Is Trackreport working?

  Trackreport works fine amb my suscription says PRO free trial.

  I did send a request to the Technical Service.

  There is a compescript published at Naviboard, that helps getting a better idea about the activation status and the status of the various plugins.

  I got the answer from twonav (Google translated)

  THIS is of course not possible: our maps are copy protected (= own rmap format)

  I replied the same happens with ECW files but they closed the ticket without answering.

  End of the story

  If you had mentioned that you tried this with a rmap you bought from Compe (those are mostly copyprotected), the answers would have been the same as the one from the support. But exporting from ECW should be possible. I guess your trial-registration didn't go through fully (saw this once). Try it again while having an internet connection.

  Thanks Uwe for your answer.

  But my rmap was not Twonaw property, my registration is OK and my internet connection is good.

  Two possibilities: Some features had been removed from version 9.0.1 or there is a bug in the software and they do not seem interested to correct.

  If you test your registration with the script I pointed to, you will get a bunch of information. The relevant data for your problem would be (this is an example, with working MapTools (1), which is time limited (6) and has (22) days trial period left):

  MapTools (eingeschaltet) = 1
  MapTools (Statuscode) = 6
  MapTools (Tage übrig) =22

  If you get a comparable output from the script, that would indeed point to a bug in Land 9.01. The script was afaik testet with Land 9.00.

  Hello all,

  I changed my question to: "How to save .ecw as .jpg with Land" and the final answer is:

  "A jpg would be an "open" format, for certain copyright reasons it is not allowed to export to this format."

  Problem solved!!

  Anyway the choice is still in the Menu
