Turn by turn navigation
Hello,
i have a Twonav Cross and would like to have turn by turn navigation for my planned routes out of komoot, or similar services.
How do I enable this feature? I found this screenshot in the changelog of TwoNav 5.1.1. But cannot find it anywere when following a planned route.
I would appreciate any idea :)

Hello,
Tracking a TURN BY TURN route does not exist with TwoNav.
Since July, there are three navigation modes:
- Towards a WayPoint, POI or point on the map, if the map is an OSM or TOM TOM vector map you will have the TURN by TURN and the integrated audio guidance at the shortest or fastest towards this point. (But just to a single point).
- Follow a track (what you hoped) you have to read the screen, and activate a deviation alarm to be warned when you move away from the line.
- What you show on the screen is at TwoNav the "RoadBook" navigation. Icons can be included automatically if you design the route with Land's "FAST TRACK" tool "Depending on how you use it, it adds the icons or not". "another app you have to add the Icons by hand. It's longer, but it allows you to put them elsewhere than at the change of direction. Then it is possible to include additional data, a proximity alert to prompt you to look at the screen, a map-type thumbnail to locate the point, an audio message, ...
Concretely, the turn by turn from another application requires agreements between the manufacturers involved because the data is not in a gpx but in a proprietary file. This is the case for example between Komoot and Sunnto, if you copy the gpx import from Kommot into your Suunto there will be no turn by turn, but if you directly import the route from Komoot to Suunto you will have the turn by turn. At Garmin it is also not in a gpx file, but in a tcx file.
This image is a copy of the GPS screen taken during activity, in addition (not visible on an image) two alarms are active, the first is activated 20 m (configurable to your needs) upstream of the icon to encourage reading the screen, the second is activated when the position is more than 20 m from the line.

After,
This image, like the one you show, is another variation of tracking a track (or a RoadBook) at TwoNav, it's when you reach a variant or deviation that you have to add by yourself by hand using Land.
As it stands, if that's what you want to do, I would advise you to only put one on a trip.
It is possible to put several, or to add them in a semi-automatic way but it requires to perfectly master the tools, in the current state of progress of this function.
It is complicated to implement and use. See on this screen shot I had not yet found a way to name the branches or on the ground it is essential
The Map is an OSM extract an personnal customisation (colors, curves, etc..)

Hey Thierry, thanks a lot for your detailed answers!
I have been using the 'follow a track' approach for some time, which was okay for me most of the time.
Regarding Land: I tried the software a few weeks ago. It felt like a throwback in time. Nothing I am willing to work with. I think I will then sell my device to someone who is fine with only following a route. ☹️
