Trail 2 not recognising serial number

I have just bought a second hand twonav trail and am trying to register it so I can hopefully use my old purchased maps, but the code is not working I get an error code gr354, am not sure whether it has been registered before.

  The previous owner must contact TwoNav to declare it sold before it can be registered.
