UK OS maps - colour on gps screen
I'm generally very pleased with my Aventura 2plus. However, when using UK OS topographic maps some of the colours (particularly woodland areas) are not only different from those on the digital and paper OS maps but are quite difficult to see on bright days. This is more marked on the 1:50k than the 1:25k.

Do other Aventura 2 plus users have the same issue?

Hello,
The GPS screen doesn't render colors the same way as a PC screen or a paper map. Generally, during design, colors are defined based on the primary medium; if that medium changes, the color definition must be adapted.
This phenomenon exists with other types of maps where the color is adjustable with the Land software (Vector Maps); in the GPS, the color may be less saturated.
Or, when you define a color for a raster map on a PC screen, the same map in the GPS may not render the same level of color saturation.
You're not the only one to notice this problem with this type of map; it's not impossible that the supplier has changed the digital definition of these colors.
Best Regards
