    Hello,

    There is a small problem of understanding or translation of the manual in your language.

    Starting from the screen off and GPS stopped state: The Button located at the top right side

    - Short press, the blue light comes on and a discreet beep, the GPS starts (BOOT) the screen lights up.
    - Short press, the GPS goes into standby mode, the screen turns off, but the GPS works and the blue light flashes slowly (short lighting every five seconds) this is the way to know that it is on standby.
    - Short press when the GPS is in standby mode, the screen lights up
    - Long press GPS in operation, the screen asks to confirm the shutdown which must be accepted.

    - A long press of 5 seconds or more, does not control a shutdown but a reset of the software. It restarts with its default settings (factory settings).

    If you do not need to read the screen, put it on standby this will save the battery discharge time by about 50%.

    Best Regards

    Thank you Thierry, that seems to make sense with what I am now finding.  Just one thing, what is the state when you are not using a route etc, but just displaying a map, and the unit goes into standby after 15 minutes?  This doesn't seem to be just the screen going off, it needs to reboot ( reloading the OS), but it uses up the battery, and so it isn't a complete turn off.

    Not to Stand By =>

    [GPS devices] Auto power off system. By default, the device turns off after 15 minutes of inactivity, if it is not recording activity.
    Configurable from 'System > Screen and brightness'.
    This protects from unwanted discharges, and protects the battery in case it is plugged in.
