With Twonav 3 it was possible to use your own custom symbols to mark+edit waypoints.
As the only needed knowledge was howto zip the symbols into a zip-file, name it as compegps.zip and replace the original file with it, even users with very few knowledge could managed that.
Now with TN4 we don't have access to original compegps.zip to replace it.
A quick and short term solution, implementable with a minimum of effort could be, if TN finds at startup a compegps.zip in ../appdata of internal SD,that it replaces the original with it.
More comfortable, userfriendly solutions might be:
- reading all symbol files you find in ..\appdata
- offer users in TN option to choose between these files
So for example you could have different files for different categories and while marking a waypoint, with pressing symbol button you first choose the category and than the symbol.
This would reduce the need for too much scrolling.
And for those who prefer having all in one file nothing would change as pressing symbol button directly would show the available symbols.
