Simultaneous opening of functions in embedded web view. Several Land functions are displayed using an integrated web viewing system. You can now open several entities simultaneously, so opening a new one will not close an existing one. For example, you can have the weather forecast and AI chat open simultaneously.
Remember that you can configure the display mode of each window to customize them, both in size and as floating or docked windows (right-click the title).
-
Minor changes
- Welcome/Training page added at startup.
- “Merge with previous/next segment” added to the contextual menu for tracks on the map.
- “Online maps” is now called “Install online maps” in the data tree. This helps identify how the system works. Once access to the map has been installed, it can be opened from “Stored maps”.
- Allow copying/pasting colors in properties.
- The “Tab” key allows you to move between fields in the coordinate editing dialogs.
-
Fixed issues
- The “Delete from all Devices and GO Cloud” button had misaligned text.
- Land did not activate when logging in after the default configuration (restart required).
- When calibrating an image, the image was not displayed until a projection was selected.
- Abnormal effects when resizing the side or bottom panels.
- Name searches in the tree were restricted based on diacritical marks.
- The “Redo” button was hidden when disabled because there were no undone operations.
- The “Download to my TwoNav devices” button was not enabled until signing in and restarting.
- Changes were not saved when closing more than one modified route simultaneously.
In detail
Button bar restructuring
The default configuration of the button bars has been modified to improve overall usability and make access easier for beginner users.
- Vertical and track editing button bars in floating mode to enlarge the map view.
Note: You can configure whether a bar is floating by right-clicking it. - Several functions have been removed by default to reduce complexity.
If you miss any of them, remember that you can edit them by right-clicking > Customize. - The “Rotate” button has been removed from the vertical bar by default, but rotation has been enabled by holding down the right mouse button, so the tool is not necessary.
- Text labels have been added to the most relevant functions, such as “New waypoint” and, especially, “Track creation and editing”.
- Show/Hide favorites bar has been moved to the left section with the other show/hide buttons (tree, properties, graph).
- “Color tracks” has been moved to the vertical bar.
- The “Redo” button is only shown if “Undo” has been used previously
- Various changes to the track editing bar:
- New icon design.
- New shortcut button for accessing “Settings > Tracks”.
- FastTrack moved to the beginning of the bar, next to “Add points”. “Reverse track” has been removed by default (it is still available in the right-click menu on the track).
- “Reverse track” has been removed by default (it is still available in the right-click menu on the track).
- “Properties” has been removed (properties can be opened from the top bar).
- “Center while editing” has been removed and disabled by default. This option has been added to “Settings > Tracks”.
- “Finish” has been replaced by an “X” and moved to the right.
Remember that you can customize the bars as you like by right-clicking any bar and selecting “Customize”.
This allows you to add important functions, remove those you are not interested in, or reorder them.
In addition, in Land 11, you can assign them colors by right-clicking,
and decide whether they are displayed with text or not
AI route search chat
Chat with artificial intelligence that allows you to search for routes using natural language.
Open the search tool from the AI menu
Enter the characteristics of the route you are looking for in the chat, for example, “I want a mountain biking route in Galicia, no more than 30 km long and with 700 m of ascent”.
The AI will suggest several routes, displaying 2 sections in its Land window: Map at the top (with the route locations) and List at the bottom. You can also continue chatting to refine your search.
Each item in the list provides summary information about the route
and 3 buttons:
-
Locate: Centers the route in the upper map area, with a simplified preview of the route
-
Open: Downloads and opens the route, so you can view it on the map and in the Land data tree.
- +info: Opens the route’s webpage in your Internet browser to view its complete content (description, photos, etc.) or share it with other users.
New online route search tools
The online route search functions have been improved, using the properties window to facilitate the configuration of searches and viewing of routes.
-
When expanding an online route service in the tree, its properties will open. This makes its information and settings accessible.
-
Functions have been added to the service properties.
These functions vary depending on the service. For example, in TwoNav Public Routes or OpenRunner, we find:
-
Filters (applied when refreshing the list):
- Sport
- Minimum/maximum distance
- Minimum/maximum ascent
- “Reset filter” function to return to the original state
-
Refresh list. This button regenerates the list using the current filter conditions.
It also uses the current map view. In other words, if we move the map to a different area, we must press the “Refresh” button to get the new list.
This button is also available in the contextual menu (right-click) of the service in the data tree.
-
Filters (applied when refreshing the list):
-
If we click a route in the list or on the map, its properties will be displayed.
Here we can see:
- Properties such as name, description, distance, author, etc.
-
Buttons:
- Zoom here: Centers the starting point of that route on the map.
- Download: Downloads and opens the route track. This can also be done by double-clicking the route in the tree or on the map, as usual.
- Open link: Opens the route’s webpage in your Internet browser to view its complete content (description, photos, etc.) or share it with other users.
-
If we want to adjust the search again using its filters, or search in another area of the map, we can display the service properties again by clicking it in the tree.
-
As usual in Land, most functions are also available in the contextual “right-click” menu, so you can perform actions such as opening properties, downloading, centering on screen, and opening filters by right-clicking the objects.
- Remember that tracks downloaded from these online services are saved in a temporary folder. To add them to your routes folder and synchronize them with your cloud, right-click > File > Copy to my data folder.
FastTrack improvements
2 interesting improvements have been added to the FastTrack function:
-
It is no longer necessary to hold down the Control key to add a segment to a point. If you activate FastTrack, simply clicking the destination point will automatically add and calculate the entire route.
- New restriction settings have been added to the calculation:
- Preferred route (fastest/shortest). Fastest takes road speeds into account to arrive sooner. Shortest only considers distance.
- Allow roads in the opposite direction. If enabled, the route may travel along roads in the opposite direction, as is common for walking routes.
- Allow pedestrian-only streets (e.g., historic city centers). Certain pedestrian areas are not allowed for vehicles. Enabling this option also uses them when calculating routes.
“Create waypoints by dragging” feature
This feature lets you create waypoints very quickly by simply dragging them to their location on the map.
- Open the “Create waypoints by dragging” tool
-
The icon library will open
-
Choose the waypoint icon you want to create and drag it to the location on the map where you want to place it
That’s it—the waypoint has been created. You can then edit its name and other characteristics from its properties window.
-
If you drag the icon onto a track, a roadbook point will be created. This greatly speeds up the manual creation of roadbooks.
