    Thank you user!
Very useful suggestion, the article you linked explains the mess (because what theyr write is NOT what actually happens).
Not surprisingly, Compe made a mess with the upgrade and did not sync Land app on PC, so Land and Twonav do NOT access the same locations, as decribed below:

Twonav upgraded to V 5.0.3 changing the location where files are searched.
But the existing map/track filese were NOT moved to the new locations.

As a result, Twonav is UNABLE to reach existing map/tracks.

In the meanwhile Land app on PC (both V7 and V8) still access the OLD locations, so that they see the existing files and can add/delete new files, but Twonav does NOT use them because they are added/deleted from the OLD locations.

Land and Twonav seem to come from different worlds...

If you manually add/move files to the NEW locations (as described in the article above), then Twonav will see/use the added files (but Land will NOT).

So you end up having a real mess with separate, impenetrable storage locations, with Land and Twonav accessing different archives...

    Compe-style mess.

(Pls note: this situation happened with Galaxy A50, Android 11. Maybe other environments are not affected)

I did send Compe support tickets about the bug, but not surprisingly I got no answer (been a user for 10 years now, and that's always been their stile of poor/non existent support).

  • Hi Luca,

For me with a tablet and Android 5.01 (lollitop), TwoNav 5.03 did not create the directories said in the link. TN 5.03 use TwoNavData/___ the same directories as Tn3.xx !

But if you have a SD card, TN5.03 do not read it and ignore what the SD contains.

I must move myself the Datas but TN5.03 do not see them. I must uninstal 5.03 et instal it again. In this way, TN5.03 see my datas. But TN5.03 is in the basic mode and I can't enter a code because the "Enter" key has no effect !....................... In the basic mode, the access to maps is very restricted. Soo, I will stay in 3.xx.

TwoNav say they have issues with Samsung's softwares.

TN 5.03 in not seen by Land 8.9.2. They say "you must have Land 8.9.5". But Land 8.9.5 is also a mess ! People want to go back !

    Best regards

    Real Compe-style mess...
Wonder how you can use the SD card if no means is provided to navigate or select in the file system...

Guess I may also revert to 3.xx and even Land 7.x.
If Compe have issues with Samsung software, I'd say they'd better delay the release... (especially because, from what I saw so far, there's very little useful added...)
