This article describes the charging recommendations for TwoNav devices, how to identify the battery status using the device’s LEDs, and what to do if you detect issues related to battery percentage or autonomy.
Requirements for proper charging
To ensure proper charging of the device, it is important to use the correct accessories:
- Use a charger with a minimum output of 1.5 A.
- Connect the device using the original cable or a certified charging cable.
- Avoid charging the device through computer USB ports, as they usually provide lower power and may result in very slow or incomplete charging.
If the device does not start charging:
- Try using a different USB cable.
Try using a different charger.
Note: Cables can deteriorate with use and stop working properly even if they appear to be in good condition externally.
Charging LED indicators
During the charging process, the device shows different states through the LED:
- Red LED: the device is charging.
- Green LED: the battery is fully charged.
Battery percentage recalibration
If you notice any of the following behaviors:
- The battery percentage is not consistent.
- The device turns off unexpectedly indicating low battery.
Follow this procedure:
- Connect the device to the charger.
- Let it charge until the LED turns green, regardless of the percentage shown on the screen.
This process allows you to recalibrate the battery percentage indicator and improve the accuracy of the displayed information.
Tips to save battery
To extend the device’s battery life, we recommend applying the following measures:
- Turn off the screen when it is not needed, either manually or using automatic screen-off.
- Reduce the screen backlight level.
- Disable wireless connections when not in use, as they increase battery consumption.
- Avoid unnecessary use of audio functions, which also affect battery life.
