Land allows connecting devices from other brands, such as Garmin, using Mass Storage or Serial Port modes.
Once connected, these devices will appear in Land’s data tree and will operate similarly to TwoNav devices.
Note: It is not possible to read or transfer maps on devices from other brands.
Connection via Mass Storage
Land can detect and manage devices from other brands (such as Garmin) that use the Mass Storage system, in the same way as TwoNav devices.
If, when connecting the device to your computer via USB cable, it becomes available in the File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac), it will also appear in Land’s data tree, and you will be able to access its files and transfer tracks between both.

Connection via Serial Port
It is also possible to connect older devices that use a serial port.
To do so, you must first configure the connection from Preferences > Devices > General:
Once configured, start the connection from the menu option Menu > Tools > Connect > Connect by custom device configuration:
This option allows Land to recognise the device and manage its files, although the steps may vary depending on the model and the age of the device.
Connect an External GPS
You can also use an external GPS connected via USB to obtain your live position directly on the map and use Land as the main display of your GPS.
For more information on how to configure and use an external GPS, see the article Navigation in Land.
Connection with Phones
Android
On current Android devices, access to app data folders is often blocked by the operating system.
For this reason, Land will not be able to detect the device when connected by USB.
Check these articles for alternative ways to transfer files between Land and the TwoNav Android app:
iOS
On iOS devices, the connection is made via FTP-WiFi.
This option allows transferring routes, tracks, and other files between Land and the TwoNav app without the need to connect the device via USB.
To connect an iOS device to Land, see the article: Connect TwoNav iOS to a computer via FTP-WiFi
