The bluetooth connection of the GPS device with the Link application installed on a phone is a process that depends on different parts and platforms, so there can be variability in its behavior.
If you encounter problems with this connection, please follow these steps:
1- Update: Make sure you have the latest software versions installed for both the Link App and the GPS device.
For Android AppLink, confirm that there are no battery usage restrictions.
2- Disconnect:
- On the device:
- Go to ‘Settings > Smartphone’.
- If there is a paired device, click 'Forget Smartphone'.
- On the smartphone:
- If there is a paired device:
- Unlink it from Link.
- Unpair it from the smartphone's bluetooth manager.
- Deactivate and Reactivate the bluetooth of the smartphone.
- If there is a paired device:
3- Connect:
- On the device, go to ‘Settings > Smartphone’, and press ‘Pair Smartphone’.
- On the smartphone, open the App link, and start the linking process.
- Link will find the device, and display it. Select it.
- The phone will receive a connection request. Accept it.
- The phone will ask for a validation number. This number will be displayed on the device.
- The connection will be established, and both the Link and the device will show a status of Connected.
If after following these steps, you still have problems, try turning off Wi-Fi on your device and try again.
