You can import tracks received in TXT or CSV or other non-binary file format directly from Land by following these steps:
- Go to the File > Import a track menu.
- Select the file type you want to import in the selector.
- A new window will open with the data from the imported file. Select the type of separator used in the file between the data (comma, semicolon, tabulation…).
In this case, the separator is "," (comma).
- Indicate the type of data for each column (latitude, longitude, altitude…).
- Click on Accept.
- Select the projection and the datum of the file’s information in the new window.
- Depending on the projection, also select the geographic zone if requested.
Tip: If you do not know the zone, create a waypoint near where the track is from, if you know its approximate location, and you will be able to find out this data.
- Click on Accept and you will have your track in *.trk format.
- Save the new file.
After completing these steps, the track will be imported and ready to view, edit, or plan routes in Land.
