A track is the path of a previously recorded or planned route (see article What are tracks).
How to Get Tracks
You can get tracks in many ways:
- Creating them yourself.
- Downloading them from specialized route websites like Wikiloc, Strava…
- Receiving them from a contact (a friend, a guide, etc.).
Land allows opening tracks in most formats (see article Compatibility).
Different Ways to Open a Track
Similarly to how maps are opened in Land, tracks can be opened in several ways:
- From the menu File > Open.
- Dragging the track file directly onto the Land window.
- Double-clicking the track file on your computer (if associated with Land).
- From the data tree in Land, double-clicking the track or selecting the option Open.
Online Routes
You can also access online routes from Land by connecting to compatible external services (see article Online Routes).
Importing Tracks
Some tracks may come in generic (non-binary) formats such as *.CSV or *.TXT. Land allows importing them and converting them into a standard format so you can use them like any other track (see article Importing Tracks).
To import a file, go to the menu option File>Import track in TXT format
