Create a map by selecting an area in Land

The creation of the map of a particular area with Land can be carried out based on any map that is not copyright-protected. However, with on-line maps it is especially useful, because they are very large maps that give you lots of possibilities when it comes to choosing the area you need. Land offers a selection of online maps of different countries and types (topo, ortho, OSM ...) that opens up a huge range of possibilities.

How do I do it?

The steps for the creation of your custom map are:

1. Open the online map (or any other raster map that does not have a copyright)
    
    
     
2. Activate the selection tool.
      
3. Select the area and click on "Create new map for this area".
    
    
4. If you have files loaded as waypoints, routes or tracks, you can choose whether you want them to be superimposed on the resulting map.
    
     
    
5. Give it a name and select the format (we recommend rmap, for its performance and compatibility with all platforms).
    
    
6. Wait (it can take hours if you have chosen a very large area).
    
     
    
7. Now you have a new new map that does not require a connection to function and that you can place on your TwoNav!
