This function lets you combine several maps and join them into a single map file.
When you do this, Land automatically adjusts the scale and projection, so you don't have to recalibrate the map.
Important: This function can only be used with raster maps, because vector maps cannot be merged.
To merge maps follow these steps:
- Open the maps you want to merge:
All maps that are currently open will be merged, so make sure you only open the ones you want to merge.
- For the best visual quality in the resulting map, set the map scale to '100%':
Note that the zoom level you have selected at the time of merging the maps will determine the final resolution of the merged map.
- Click Main Menu > Maps > Merge maps:
- The parameters for creating the resulting map will be shown in a popup window just before merging the maps (map size, scale and projection). Review that the information is correct and confirm:
If you have tracks or waypoints open at that time, Land will ask if you want to add them to the image of the new map it will generate:
- Assign a name to the new map and save it:
- Once saved, you can start working with the new map:
