The distance measurement allows you to quickly calculate distances, bearings, or elevation changes directly on the map, without the need to create a track.
It is a fast and practical tool for obtaining quick measurements on the terrain.
Activate the distance measurement
Go to the vertical map toolbar > select the Distance measurement tool
Once the tool is activated, you can work just as when creating a track:
Add points on the map.
Move or delete existing points.
Freely draw the route you want to measure.
Interactive measurement
When you move the pointer about 200 pixels away from the last point, a floating indicator appears with the following information:
Distance from the last point.
Bearing of the drawn line.
Elevation difference between the last two points.
This view allows quick measurements without opening other tools or saving the data as a track.
Properties window
The distance meter includes a properties window, from which you can access the profile graph of the measured route.
