Land allows you to locate places by entering their name. This can be done in several ways.
Search for places online
It is available by default in the button bar, and also under Menu > Tools
A page opens where you can type the name of the place.
A list of matches will then be generated, including their name, address, and category.
Matches for places related to outdoor activities (peaks, parks, etc.) will appear at the top of the list, marked in green.
Click an item in the list to move the map to its coordinates.
You can also press 'Enter' to go directly to the first place.
Search for places on a local map
Vector maps such as OSM or TomTom allow you to search without Internet access.
Before searching, you must open the map where you want to search (e.g., Spain_OSM, France_OSM...)
The 'Search' tool is located under Menu > Tools and opens a window where you can configure the search.
Enter the name and click 'Search'. A list of matches from the open map will be created.
In addition, depending on how you have configured the search tool, it will also search for matches in waypoint files, tracks, or maps, whether they are entire files or waypoints contained in them.
Search by coordinates
Click the Menu > Tools > Locate coordinates option:
A window appears where you can enter the coordinates manually:
The map will be centered on the indicated point, without needing to create a new waypoint.
