TwoNav Cloud is TwoNav's storage and synchronisation service, keeping your files up to date across all your devices: a computer running Land, the TwoNav app, GPS devices and the go.twonav.com website.
To find out more about TwoNav Cloud, see this article: What is TwoNav Cloud?
Upload synchronisation
In TwoNav, you can enable or disable upload synchronisation with the Cloud by going to 'Main menu > Settings > TwoNav Cloud'. When synchronisation is enabled, TwoNav starts keeping your files up to date with TwoNav Cloud.
Once enabled, TwoNav synchronises your files: any files stored in TwoNav but not in the Cloud will be uploaded. If you ever need to force an upload synchronisation, tap Synchronise now. Whenever you create or modify a file, the changes will be synchronised with the Cloud, including properties such as colour or description.
Download synchronisation
If you also want to download any new files from TwoNav Cloud, simply tap 'Download all files'. TwoNav will then automatically download all files that are in the Cloud but not in TwoNav.
Note: This feature may add a large number of files to your device. The download may take several minutes. Remember that you can filter by name from the page menu to make it easier to search through long lists.
File synchronisation status
The status of each file is indicated by a colour in the TwoNav track list:
- Green → Synchronised
- Yellow → Waiting to synchronise
- Red → Synchronisation error
- Black → Unsaved changes
- No icon → The file is not in the synchronised folder
If a file has no icon, make sure it is located in the synchronised folder.
Synchronised folder in TwoNav
TwoNav synchronises the folder configured for data.
By default, this is usually:
- Android (TwoNav Free app): 'Android/Data/com.compegps.twonav/files/TwoNavData/Data'
- Android (TwoNav Premium app): 'Android/Data/com.compegps.twonavfull/files/TwoNavData/Data'
- iOS (TwoNav Free app): 'TwoNavData/Data'
- iOS (TwoNav Premium app): 'TwoNavData/Data’
All files stored in this folder will be automatically synchronised with TwoNav Cloud.
Adding files to TwoNav Cloud
- Files created in TwoNav are saved directly to the main data folder, so they are automatically synchronised.
- If you open files from other locations (for example, Downloads), they will automatically be copied to the main data folder and therefore automatically synchronised as well.
- Files downloaded from integrated online services (such as Komoot, Strava or OpenRunner) are stored in a temporary folder to prevent them from being uploaded directly to your personal Cloud.
Any file you manually add to the Data folder will also be automatically uploaded to the Cloud when TwoNav synchronises.
You can also add files to the Cloud from:
- Land
- go.twonav.com website
Deleting files from TwoNav Cloud
If you want to delete files from TwoNav Cloud, and therefore from all devices synchronised with it, you can do so in the following ways:
-
From TwoNav
Right-click the file and select Delete file and delete from TwoNav Cloud. -
From the GO website
At go.twonav.com, you will find a tool for deleting files from activity and route lists.
