When you start navigation, TwoNav can notify you when you move away from the track of your planned route, allowing you to get back on course. The alarms will automatically appear in a pop-up window during navigation and, in addition, you will receive an audible alert on your device.
How it works
As soon as you start navigation, the route deviation alarm is activated by default and set to 50 meters. In other words, when you move more than 50 meters away from the planned route, you will receive a notification prompting you to return to the correct path.
During the route, we recommend checking your device frequently to make sure you are on the right track.
To hide the alert, simply tap outside the pop-up window and it will close, allowing you to continue navigation.
Change the default settings
From 'Main menu > Settings > Activity profiles > Alarms > Data fields > Route deviation' you can modify this alarm’s settings:
- Enable or disable the alarm
- Set the alert distance
- Configure the alert tone
- Define the repetition interval
Note: The configuration is applied to the active activity profile, so each profile can have a different deviation distance.
Usage recommendations
The alert distance can be adjusted according to the type of activity:
- In mountain activities or technical trails (MTB, trail running), it may be useful to set a shorter distance to receive the alert sooner.
- In fast activities or on wide tracks, it may be more practical to increase the distance to avoid unnecessary alerts.
Properly adjusting this alarm will allow you to maintain the planned route more accurately during navigation.
