TwoNav allows you to configure alarms associated with different data fields, such as speed, pace, heart rate or altitude. These alarms notify you when a value exceeds or drops below a defined threshold, making it easier to monitor your performance during the activity. The alarms will automatically appear in a pop-up window during navigation and, in addition, you will receive an audible alert on your device.
How it works
By default, data field alarms are disabled. The user must configure the alarms needed for their activity. It is important to configure them before starting the activity. There is no usage limit; you can configure as many alarms as there are data fields available in TwoNav.
These types of alarms work by setting a limit value for a specific data field. This means that:
- You can define a maximum value (red alarm) and a minimum value (blue alarm)
- When the data reaches or exceeds the configured threshold, the alert is triggered
- If the value returns to the normal range, the alarm stops being displayed
For example, you can set a maximum speed so as not to exceed a certain pace, or configure an alarm to notify you when the slope of the terrain is too steep, allowing you to look for more manageable alternative routes.
To hide the alert, simply tap outside the pop-up window and it will close, allowing you to continue your navigation.
Set up a data field alarm
From 'Main menu > Settings > Activity profiles > Alarms > Data fields' you can modify this alarm’s settings:
Enable or disable the alarm
- Define the limit values.
Configure the alert tone
Define the repetition interval
Note: The configuration is applied to the active activity profile, so each profile can have a different deviation distance.
Usage recommendations
Data field alarms are especially useful in sports activities where parameter control is important:
- In mountain activities, to monitor altitude, accumulated elevation gain or slope.
- In cycling or running, to maintain a specific pace or heart rate zone.
- In structured training sessions, to respect previously defined limits.
Correctly configuring these alerts will allow you to stay in control of the key data of your activity without needing to constantly check the screen.
