Structure
Branches
The data tree is organized into branches according to file type:
- Maps
- My Activities
- Routes
- Waypoints
- Sets
- Photos
- Devices
- Online Files
Sub-branches
Each branch is organized into sub-branches to make access to different types of files easier:
-
Maps:
- Stored Maps: Maps available in Land’s map folder
-
Install Purchased Maps: You can quickly install your purchased maps:
-
Online Maps: Access to online maps classified by countries:
- By double-clicking on a map, a reference file (*.cwms, *cosm...) is downloaded, which will query the online server. This reference file remains saved on the computer, so next time it can be opened from 'Stored Maps', without needing to go back to 'Online Maps'.
-
World includes worldwide coverage maps (OSM, aerial imagery...):
-
MapsPlus includes access to maps plus:
-
Routes:
- Stored Routes: Tracks available in Land’s track folder
-
My Online Routes: Access to services where my personal files (routes, activities) are stored. Requires connection with a personal account:
-
Discover Online Routes: Access to public route services, without requiring a personal account connection:
Special branches
-
Sets (File in gpx or kml/kmz format containing several elements):
- The set will appear in the Sets branch, but each sub-element will also appear in the branch corresponding to its type (e.g. if a set has 2 tracks and 1 waypoint file, they will appear as 2 tracks under Routes, the waypoint file under Waypoints, and the full set under Sets).
- Individual elements cannot be closed; the whole set must be closed. For example, you cannot close track1 only — you must go to the Sets branch and close it all.
-
Photos (open photo folder to georeference them in a track):
-
Devices (Shows the content of the GPS device connected by USB to the computer):
