The Land properties window is a tool you can use to view and analyse information about tracks, waypoints, maps, etc. It contains a large amount of data that will help you assess the difficulty of the route while planning as well as after the activity by analysing your performance in detail.
Open window
You can show or hide the properties window in two ways:
- Button on the toolbar: click the corresponding icon to open or close the window.
- Right-click on an object: right-click on the element you want to analyse and select 'Properties'.
Element properties
When you open the window, Land will display the main properties of the selected element and you can see:
Sections
The properties are grouped into categories (for example: altitudes, speeds, distances…). You can expand or collapse each section to view only the information that really interests you.
Editable properties
Most properties are editable; those that are can be identified with a pencil icon. For example, you can add a title to your activity or change the thickness or colour of a track.
Important: Some data cannot be modified because they are inherent to the element, such as the scale of a map.
Next/Previous buttons
With these buttons you can review the properties of other elements you have open in the data tree. They will be displayed in the order they appear in the tree and Land will centre each object on the map to make reviewing easier.
Quick access for tracks
If you are viewing the properties of a track, at the top of the properties window you will see quick access buttons for the most common tasks: edit track, add roadbook points, view the graph, share...
More specific information
Each type of object (track, waypoint, map…) has its own properties. Check other sections to see a detailed description of the specific properties for each type of element.
