In Land you can manage your waypoints by moving, copying, or deleting them to organize them according to your needs. You can also transfer them to other waypoint files or to tracks.
Below we will see the available methods to perform each action:
Move position
- From the data tree:
Drag the waypoint to the new place on the map and it will automatically move to the new position:
- From the map:
First press the Alt (Windows) or Option (Mac) key and, while holding it down, drag the waypoint to the new position:
- From properties:
You can directly edit the waypoint coordinates from the properties window:
Copy to a new position
You can also create a new waypoint in another position by copying the properties of an existing one:
- From the map window, press the Control key and, while holding it down, drag the waypoint to a new position. A new waypoint will be created in that position, with all the same properties except for the position:
Copy/Move to another waypoint file
- Right-click:
First select the waypoint from a waypoint file, right-click and choose Edit > Copy or Cut:
Then right-click another waypoint file and select Edit > Paste:
The waypoint will be copied or moved to the other waypoint file:
- Dragging (move):
From the data tree, move the waypoints by dragging them directly from one waypoint file to another:
- Multiselection:
You can use the Shift and Control keys to select several waypoints and move them all at once:
- Copy to a track:
You can also copy waypoints to a track using the previous methods. If they are close to the track, they will be added as roadbook points:
Delete waypoints
- Right-click:
Right-click the waypoint (from the data tree or from the map) and select the option Delete waypoint:
- Delete key:
Select the waypoint (from the data tree or from the map) and press the Delete key on your keyboard.
- Multiselection:
You can use the Shift and Ctrl keys to select several waypoints and delete them all at once:- You can also use the Selection mode tool from the Map toolbar to select several waypoints:
