TwoNav allows you to use the information available in a vector map to automatically create a track. It’s a very simple feature, but to make it possible, the vector map you work on must be “routable”, meaning it must contain network information that can be used for automatic route calculation.
Devices
You can create a track with FastTrack from:
- TwoNav GPS latest generation devices (Roc, Cross, Terra, or Aventura 2)
- TwoNav App (as long as you are subscribed to Premium or Pro)
Required material
To use the FastTrack feature, you need an OSM or TomTom map.
Create a route with FastTrack
To create a track with FastTrack, follow these steps:
Important: Before starting, make sure you have the map installed on your device. Follow these instructions to install it.
1 - In the map window, on the bottom bar, tap 'More options > Create new track'. A window will appear where you can choose the name, sport, and color for the new track.
2 - In the track editing bar, click the 'FastTrack' tool button.
3 - Mark the specific point where you want to start the route. You can move the map and zoom in for more accuracy.
3 - Tap the end point of the route. FastTrack will generate the route automatically. The 'FastTrack' function will draw the path by adding waypoints at the most important turns along the route.
Note: If you want your route to pass through different locations you want to visit, instead of tapping the destination directly, with the FastTrack tool active, mark the points you want to go through.
4 - Repeat the same action at each place you want to visit until reaching your destination.
5 - Once you’re done, on the bottom bar tap 'More options > Close editing'.
6 - From this moment, your track is ready to be navigated.
FastTrack Feature Settings
It is possible to configure different aspects of track creation with FastTrack. From the menu 'Main Menu > Settings > Activity profiles > Autoroute', in the settings you will find:
- Automatically add maneuver points. When using FastTrack, calculated maneuvers on the map will be added as roadbook points.
-
Restrictions by road type. Allow highways, toll roads, dirt tracks, or ferries.
