Once a roadbook has been created, you can edit its appearance and properties to adapt it to your needs and improve the information displayed during navigation.
Since roadbooks are essentially tracks with enriched points, they have the same customisable track properties (such as colour, thickness, transparency, line style...) and add the specific waypoint properties for their roadbook points.
This way, you can customise both the appearance of the route and each point of interest it includes. For the roadbook points, the following properties stand out:
Name and description
Waypoints or roadbook points have two text properties:
Name: Short identifier of the point (for example: Left turn, Trail start, Scenic viewpoint).
Description: Additional or detailed information (for example: Take the path climbing through the pines or View over the Llobregat valley).
This information is not only useful within Land, but is also displayed during navigation on TwoNav devices or the app, helping the user with guidance and contextual information at each point of the route.
Appearance of roadbook points
Land allows you to customise in detail the appearance of each roadbook point. These settings help highlight different types of information (warnings, intersections, landmarks, hazardous areas, etc.).
Roadbook points are waypoints embedded in a track, so each point also has the properties of a waypoint.
Configuration levels (inheritances)
The visual properties of roadbook points are organised in a three-level inheritance system, which determines which value applies in each case.
Waypoint or roadbook point properties: If a property is defined directly on the point, this value will take priority.
Track properties: If the property is not defined on the point, the value indicated in the Track Properties section ‘Default values for waypoints’ will apply.
General settings: If it is not defined either on the point or on the track, the value set in 'Settings > Waypoints' will apply. In other words, if when creating a track with roadbook points we do not configure their properties (for example: colours...), they will take the value set in the general configuration.
Important: These types of properties are specific to TwoNav formats (*.TRK, .WPT). If you work with other formats (*.GPX, *.KML...), these settings will not be saved, so their appearance will follow the one defined in ‘General settings’. That is, if you open a *.GPX track that includes waypoints, or add them, their appearance will follow what is defined in ‘Settings > Waypoints’.

Files associated with roadbook points
Roadbook points can be enhanced with attached files, such as images, audio, text or video.
This allows you to provide additional useful information during navigation, such as photos of the surroundings, voice recordings or descriptive documents. The most common uses include:
Images of intersections or visual references.
Audio with spoken instructions.
Short explanatory videos.
