In addition to creating roadbook points from scratch (see Create Roadbook (mark key points along the route)), Land allows you to take advantage of existing waypoints to easily convert them into roadbook points within a track.
1. Add waypoints from the data tree
You can add one or several waypoints near the track as roadbook points directly from the data tree:
Select the desired waypoints (you can use the Multi-selection function to select more than one waypoint)
- Drag the selected waypoints onto the track where you want to add the roadbook points ( Drag and drop ).
- You can also use the Copy and Paste functions to move the waypoints to the track.
Note: By default, waypoints located less than 400m away are considered nearby waypoints.
2. Import nearby waypoints as roadbook points
Using the tool Import nearby waypoints as roadbook points, Land can automatically detect waypoints located near the track and convert them into roadbook points.
-
Function available from the 'Tools' menu
-
Two conditions must be met:
-
They must be nearby waypoints to some point of the track, according to the parameter 'Distance to assimilate waypoint'. Configurable in 'Preferences > Tracks > Distance to assimilate waypoint' (default 400m)
The waypoints must be included in the active waypoint file.
The active waypoint file is indicated with a lightning icon.
You can set another waypoint file as active by right-clicking on it and selecting 'Set as active WPT'.
-
- When using the function, the waypoints that meet the criteria will be added as roadbook points to the track.
3. Copy waypoints on the map from the track editor
If you are editing a track on the map, you can create a roadbook point directly on an existing waypoint:
- Open the track in the editor
-
Add a track point over a waypoint on the map; when doing so, Land will automatically propose creating a roadbook point with the information associated with the waypoint (name, description, icon, etc.).
